Rio de Janeiro’s world-famous Carnival kicked off on Wednesday, after a 2-year hiatus. Eduardo Paes, the mayor,Eduardo Paes handed over the keys to the city to Rei Momo alias
Wilson Dias, the king of carnival. This symbolic act has always marked the beginning of the festivities except it had not taken place since 2016.
